Staff Engineer
A client of Insight Global's is looking for 2 Staff Engineers to join their Geotechnical Department out of Flowery Branch, GA to work on commercial, industrial, and residential projects (in both of the Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing space).
Starting out 80%
of this role will consist of field/site inspection such as conducting sampling/testing of soils, drilling supervision, observing site grading, geotechnical borehole layouts, and working closely with project managers to gain more experience and assisting in proper reporting.
These Engineers will be given a company car and gas card to drive from their home to the project sites.
The other 15-20% of this role entails office work such as laboratory testing, geotechnical reporting, performing analyses, estimating/preparing proposals, and design work using CAD/Autocad.
A successful candidate will be one who has a go-getter mentality, has great communication (both verbal and written), and is an overall people person.
- EIT certification / Passed FE - Experience designing with Autocad/Cad- Bachelors in Engineering (civil or geotechnical/geology degree preferred)- 0-3 years of geotechnical/environmental engineering experience as it relates to construction quality control, field inspections, sampling & testing of spoils, etc.
