8K a year 11 days ago 11 days ago 11 days ago LICENSED DISPATCHER/FLIGHT COORDINATORPOSITION SUMMARY This position is assigned to headquarters in Flowery Branch, GA.
The employee is required to live within a reasonable driving distance from the office.
The flight coordinator is responsible for trip planning in conjunction with passenger requests, continual flight following and accurate passenger and crew manifests.
A qualified flight coordinator will be fully trained under 14 CFR Part 91, 125 and 135 Regulations and Company General Operations Manual.
Training and/or position requirements would include but not be limited to; Basic indoctrination, which covers all appropriate regulations and the company's standard operating procedures.
FAA Dispatch License.
Knowledge of FOS software and all other company software applications and any web based applications required to conduct operations and the Microsoft Windows and Office software.
Emergency Response training.
Any other job specific training outlined in the company General Operations Manual and/or assigned by supervisor.
The flight coordinator is vital to the operation.
This employee must be able to interact effectively with fellow employees, peers and supervisors.
You must also retain the ability to interact with the client's representative in a courteous, respectful and effective manner.
You are the gatekeeper for regulatory compliance; comply with all standards set forth in the company's general operations manual, legal crew and legal aircraft.
You must have the ability to multi-task and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES; This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
Ensure compliance with FAR's and ICAO flight standards as well as company Flight Operations Manual/SMS procedures for each flight.
Reviewing safety of flight issues and mitigate any safety of flight issues through the company's policy and procedures protocols.
All elements of both domestic and international aircraft scheduling and trip planning, FAR Part 91, 135, and 125, to include; Liaison with 3rdparty service providers.
Fuel pricing negotiations.
Coordination of hotels and ground transportation for crews and client.
Assist in obtaining any necessary permits, visa's and/or ground services when flying in and out of foreign countries.
Arrange fixed base operators (FBO's) handling and fuel as needed by pilots.
Flight following, logging flight times, etc.
Provide support to Flight Operations as necessary.
Provide support to Manager of Flight Coordination as necessary, assist in assignments as directed.
Provide office support as necessary and directed to include mail distribution, trip filing and assisting Chief Pilot in maintaining crew currency records, valid passports and medical certificates.
On call requirements, night shift and after hour coverage.
Perform other day to day duties as required.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all cases involving personnel management, client aircraft operations and when dealing with sensitive and/or security issues.

Acute eye for detail and skill in organizing and performing detail-oriented work in a manner conducive to company policy, procedure and philosophy.
