Summary (Position Description):
This position is responsible to prep and paint compressors per BITZER specifications and also conduct preventative maintenance of the paint booth and paint systems.
This position also includes rotation to final assembly stations as needed.

Full time, nonexempt Duties & Tasks:
Follow all prescribed and standard SAFETY regulations including wearing a respirator while in the paint booth.
Able to properly wear a face mask at all times (no facial hair that would impede the wearing of a respirator).
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to improve paint process control, reduce costs, and develop process improvements and/or process changes due to product changes.
Conduct planned inventories and request replenishment as needed to sustain compressor quality and build.
Able to mix, match, and apply paint, to compressor surface per established process and specifications.
Perform operations of painting, unload, pre-paint, and final assembly on a rotating basis.
Maintain all paint equipment in good operating condition including set up, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to and improving upon 5S Standards.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
General knowledge of paint mixing and application process.
Must become Paint Certified per BITZER standards and processes.
Acute awareness of detail to maintain high quality standards.
Requirements:
Able to work overtime for preventative maintenance activities.
Able to pass a Fit Test for respirator.
Be to work on time and daily.
Ability to effectively meet and communicate with employees, the public and vendors.
Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion and sound judgment.
Good written communication skills and effective organizational skills.
Ability to work collectively with others within the organization.
Position will require work outside of the paint booth 50% - 75% of the time.
Work Environment:
This job is performed in the assembly/production floor.
This role requires the personnel to wear PPE of a respirator and eye protection at all times.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands; and reach with hands and arms.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
