This 911SC is a very honest driving car with a good overall appearance and great performance.
The body is straight, with absolutely no rust.
The car came from the factory sporting the Grand Prix White color that has been touched up and certain panels have been repainted throughout the years.
The interior is in great condition and presents well throughout.
The seats are in outstanding shape, with no tears or scratches on the bolster area.
The top of the dashboard does not have any cracks and the headliner is as new.
The dash instruments have been nicely preserved and display well.
All the lights, windows, and sunroof work, as well as the AC which has just been charged.
The front compartment is very clean and the factory carpeting is in nice shape with all the snap on buttons intact.
The battery tray as well as the rest of the front trunk area still retains its original Grand Prix White color, with no signs of rust anywhere.
The spare tire is in good standing and appears to have never been used.
The engine compartment is fresh looking and everything is fully intact.
The engine has been taken out and resealed a few years ago, and has barely any miles on it since that occurred.
The motor has been properly upgraded with Carrera chain tensioners and a pop-off valve.
It was noted during the engine out reseal that the car sports a Sachs clutch, with roughly 1500 miles on it according to the mechanic.
The engine number of this Porsche (6591593) corresponds with the 1979 911SC models made for the California market, which that's what this car is.
The performance of this 911 is spot on! The power appears to be all there and the shifting action is smooth and continuous, with no grinding.
The clutch engages perfectly and the car brakes straight and true.
The factory Fuchs are fitted with Michelin Pilots from 2016 on the front, and 2017 in the back, with about 75% tread left all around.
The underside looks great, with the floors in close to mint condition.
It is obvious that this car received lots of care and has never seen any northern weather.
Unfortunately there are no service records that came with this vehicle, but according to the previous owner, this car has been in the Central Coast of California since 1992, and therefore the overall condition and performance of this charming 911 is the ultimate story.
